McLaren Vale escaped much of the early rains which plagued some areas so that crops of Shiraz which were balanced to vine vigour ripened easily before the later rains. This ensured the fruit was harvested prior to any disease problems with excellent fruit intensity, ripe flavours and ripe tannin structure. We feel the 2011 continues the style our customers have become accustomed to. Deep red colour, nose has ripe berry and plum fruit with notes of spice and some toasty oak. These will integrate with 6 -12 months bottle age.

The palate has full ripe fruit flavours of berry and plum with hints of spice and toasty oak complete a complexly flavoured palate. The tannins are ripe and balanced to the flavour intensity.
