The wine is made from a old Bushvine vineyard in the Stellenbosch Region. There is no irrigation so the yield is very low and irregular. This wine is only bottled from exceptional vintages and is not available every year. The wine is fermented in open top fermenters and punched down by hand. It was matured in small oak barrels for 2 years and another year in the bottle before release. The wine shows subtle red fruit and well integrated oak with elegant tannin structures and good length. The wine will age very well.
