Colour: Dark crimson, with a violet-purple core, strong rose-violet rim, very deep.

Pronounced, dense, fluid, and coloured tears.

Nose: Before swirling, its winey quality stands out against hints of mineral, light toast and stone fruit.

After swirling, red and black fruit take over. Very intense, balsamic, very floral with mineral hints. Then cloves, black pepper and bay appear, and eventually, black chocolate and light caramelisation.

Palate: Very intense, with a distinct flavour of macerated grape leaf. Tannins are present, but the mouth-watering effect it causes means that the wine melts into the mouth, producing a warm and interesting passage over the palate.

One notices the perfect ripeness of the fruit, the return of stone fruit flavours such as dried fruit and black cherry.
