Nose: Ripe Black fruits (plums, currants and black figs), plenty of spice, smoke and pepper. As the wine opens up we get hints of dried fruit, balsamic, and anise.

Mouth: The wine is rich and vibrant with soft integrated tannins. The jammy fruit is laced with liquorish, spices, coffee and wild herbs. Acidity is consistent and the oak is expressive at the moment. There is a pleasing dryness and intensity.

Finish: a long finish with pronounced dried fruit, spice and liquorish lingering.
